DPS Mascot Design Competition
The Board has partnered with Hong Kong Design Institute in organising a DPS Mascot Design Project and Competition. The objective was to engage students to design an adorable DPS Mascot to assist with the Board’s various community education activities in promoting DPS awareness. More importantly, with 12 outstanding designs being shortlisted and uploaded on a Facebook application for public voting, the DPS messages can be further disseminated to younger generations at large.
Taking into consideration results from public voting, the champion, first runner-up and second runner-up were selected by an independent judging panel including a renowned illustrator ‘Dreamergo’.
Results of the competition:
Champion – Jewellery Box |
(Designer: Chu Ki Chun) |
1st Runner-up – Yue Jin Robot |
(Designer: Chiu Pak Ki Candy) |
2nd Runner-up – Bobo |
(Designer: Li Chui Yi) |
The prize presentation ceremony was held on November 28. In reaching out to the students, several professional sharing sessions were also organised which included a representative from the Institute of Financial Accountants to introduce ‘Importance of savings for Gen-Y’, the Board’s advertising agency TwoHundred on ‘Creation of a TVC’, Dreamergo to share his experience on the ‘Challenges of a design career’, as well as how DPS protects the public’s deposits. Media was invited and some PR coverages were generated on several online and print media.
